Abandoned swimming pool, Italy.
Nara Dreamland was a Japanese theme park built near Nara, Japan. It was built in 1961 with Disneyland in mind, but closed down in 2006.
Made a wrong turn today & stumbled on this huge corner lot in an out of the way neighborhood with multiple abandoned decaying buildings on the property & another boarded up place across the street. It appears to have been a family home with a retail shop and a rental or guest house. There’s also a giant feral cat living in there, and an almost entirely grown over gazebo. Part of the fencing’s torn down, there’s internal graffiti and vandalism. I’m gonna have to go revisit this space. It’s at 39.137009N by 76.698427W.
Dixie Brewing Company - Dixie Brewery began in 1907 and was founded by Valentine Merz. At the start of prohibition in 1920 the company temporarily changed their name to the Dixie Beverage Company until ban of alcohol was over. It was the last large volume brewery in the city of New Orleans until hurricane Katrina in 2005. Afterwards it was damaged and production of the beer there has ceased. It is now owned by the Veterans Association, who are transforming the area into a large hospital. They plan to renovate the facade and original building that was built for the brewery in 1907, the rest is to be demolished.
